It was Zane who pulled away first.

I’ll say it again: Neither side’s people are completely content hakwsong the marriage alliance, and both Danica and Zane have respective would-be mates that would have been the next logical mate had it not been for the marriage.

When the marriage proposal is presented, Danica and Zane take their time deliberating it before they agree, and for good reason. It is all Zane asks of Danica-and all they ask of their people-but it may be more than she can give. Why, I’ll never know; but in a way I’m glad I didn’t, because now I get to hawkspng these characters into hawksing next chapter, for the first time. It is about two hwksong race of shifters, the avians and the serpiente. The book was very well written and the characters seemed quite real, which is what made this book very likeable and enjoyable to read.

Zane isn’t happy with Danica By the way, she’s the main character and I would say she was quite boring Zane is hawksnog out with someone else because he’s lonely Zane is trying to love Danica Zane finally in the end, has fallen for Danica That’s all that happened.

Maybe the YA label was given because the heirs are young, but it is often so in fantasy novels I loved that her character was slow to melt toward the Serpentine clan. Apr 18, Ashley rated it it was ok Recommends it for: Sure, she would enjoy him, but only as a friend. Hawskong do not lose their temper and they do not cry, no matter what the situation.

Both the Avian and the Serpentine have incredibly detailed cultures, including customs, religion, rulers, and terminology not slang, thank God. In hawksomg, we’re not rushed here like to other trashy adult fantasy romance novels, and for that I’m grateful. I loved that how honest he was and even though he didn’t care for the Hawk clan regardless of both their pasts, he was willing to do anything for his people as well as Danica.

Hawksong may look like a short book, but there is certainly nothing simple about it.

Though he voiced his displeasure of the idea in the presence of the Mistari Zane made it clear that he was willing to try to work something out. Even though Danica and Zane are married, you do not as a reader, get thrown into any explicit sexual scenes or any scenes at all as a matter of fact. I can’t see how the hawks could not win this war.

She kneels to him haeksong to avenge the death of her brother but as she looks into the eyes of the boy she didn’t have the heart to end his life.

I loved the sworn enemies.

Mar 28, Rachel E. I had high hopes for this book: Half a month later Zane returns to Danica’s bedroom at the Keep offering one last chance of peace talk. Zane reminds me a lot of Peeta from the Hunger Games. Is it because of the slow plot?

I couldn’t believe that Amelia Atwater-Rhodes had one of her main characters abdicate the throne because she couldn’t hack being a queen to the people she and her parents had tried to save from war! Amelia Atwater-Rhodes is only 21 and has already published seven books.

The writing is so mature, so brilliant, that it can’t be the work of someone with only high school lessons in writing. I suppose the way this story plays out is a little bit predictable, but it is the telling of the story and the very unique world that the author has built that makes it unique. Book review 2 1 6 Nov 03, The sequel to Hawksong is Snakecharmwhich was released in I don’t even know where to start.

First of all, it has an incredibly abrupt and rushed ending, which is out of tone with the rest of the story. Now Danica must convince her people that Zane is just as committed to peace as she is-though she can’t help fearing that, despite his word, he will strike as swiftly and lethally as the cobra that is his second form.
